    (Nicholas) Kenji Taylor, MD MSc

    U.S.-trained family physician based in Japan who trained in family medicine at Brown, UPenn, UCSF and Stanford prior to coming to Japan. He has experience in academic medicine, global health, military medicine and health technology innovation. He provides patient-centered care with a focus on fitness, caring for families, and psychiatry in primary care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Kenji is a father of 3, enjoys music and anything outdoors.

    Arisa Takeuchi, MD

    U.S.- and Japan-trained family physician originally from Tokyo, with an MD from the University of the Ryukyus, residency in family medicine and geriatrics at Oregon Health & Science University, and clinical practice in Hawaii before returning to Japan in 2025. She offers patient-centered care across the lifespan, emphasizing family medicine, chronic disease management, and healthy aging.

    Hiroaki Hayashi, MD MSc

    U.S.- and Japan-trained internal medicine physician originally from Tokyo, with education from the University of Chicago and clinical training at Rush University. He has experience in hospital medicine, cross-border care, and managing complex medical conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He provides evidence-based, compassionate care with a deep understanding of both U.S. and Japanese healthcare systems.

  • Masashiro Yao, MD MSc

    Masahiro Yao, M.D., MSc. is a family physician in Yokohama. He completed a family and community medicine residency in Japan and a fellowship at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa. Since 2015, he has led Family and Community Medicine at JCHO Yokohama Hodogaya Central Hospital—directing its residency and the Social Medicine Fellowship—and serves as Clinical Associate Professor at Yokohama City University. His expertise spans academic medicine, global exchanges, and community-based care, with a focus on integrated local services.

  • Shiori Funaki, RN

    Shiori Funaki is a bilingual registered nurse and clinic manager, licensed as both an RN and Type-1 school nurse in Japan. She combines hands-on care—performing blood draws and other in-clinic procedures—with seamless coordination of scheduling, records, and insurance. By uniting clinical skill and administrative know-how, she keeps every visit running effortlessly.
