  • (ONLY IF YOU HAVE IT) JMA Hospital Card: This card has "JMA" written on it. It is used at both Zama General Hospital and Ebina General Hospital.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Arrival & Entrance
    If you drive or walk, enter the hospital through the West Entrance and head directly to Counter 17.

    If you take the shuttle bus, it will drop you off at the Ebina Medical Plaza. You will need to cross the street to the larger Ebina General Hospital building on the other side, walking towards the left side of the building to find the entrance.

    If you happen to enter through the Main Entrance, don't worry—simply walk straight through the building and head directly to Counter 17.

  2. Check-in (Counter 17)

    When you arrive at Counter 17, present your appointment form, referral letter, and some kind of ID to the staff sitting behind the computers. If you have a JMA card, please show this to the staff as well. Once they verify your appointment and return your ID card, they will give you a paper with photos showing you where to go next.

    Facing the counter, turn to your right and walk down the hall for about 20 meters until you get underneath a sign that says 01-08. Take a left there and take a seat at the blue chairs next to the CT scan room. You will be sitting in the chairs directly under a floor map of the hospital.

  3. The Initial Intake

    While you are waiting in the blue chairs, a female technician will come out to talk to you directly. She will ask you your name and go over a few standard questions about past surgeries, any specific breast concerns, or medical history. Please make sure you have filled out and printed the Patient Questionnaire prior to arriving, as handing this completed form to the tech will help immensely with this step without needing a translator. Once she has reviewed your answers, she will guide you directly into Room 33 where the testing will take place.

  4. The Examination

    Inside Room 33, the technician will ask you to remove all of your upper clothing. She will then position your breasts on the machine to take 4 images total (2 views of each breast). During the scan, please follow the instructions from the technician.

  5. Completion & Parking

    Once the scan is finished, you are done with your appointment. No payment is required at the hospital, as all results and billing are sent directly back to Torii Health. If you drove to the hospital, make sure to stop by Counter 6 (Check-out) before leaving to get your parking discount ticket. To get there, exit the radiography room, turn left, and walk down the hall until you reach the main hall. Take a left, and you will see Counter 6 on your left side. Show the staff at the desk the Japanese translation phrase listed in the table below to receive your parking ticket.

  • Parking: I had a mammogram via referral. I was told to come to Counter 6 for my parking ticket.

    本日、検査共同利用を通じてマンモグラフィーを受けました。車を運転してきたため、駐車券をもらうために6番窓口へ寄るよう言われました。
