Billing & Telemedicine Information

How We Provide Care

Torii Health provides outpatient medical services to adult and pediatric patients. Visits may be conducted in person or via secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platforms, depending on clinical appropriateness and patient preference.

Telemedicine services meet applicable privacy and security standards and are documented in the medical record in the same manner as in-person visits.

Insurance Billing

When applicable, Torii Health may submit claims to insurance plans as a courtesy to the patient. Coverage, reimbursement, and patient cost-sharing (including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance) are determined solely by the patient’s insurance plan.

Submission of a claim does not guarantee payment.

Patients remain responsible for any portion of charges not covered or reimbursed by insurance.

Professional Fees

Professional fees are based on:

  • Visit duration

  • Medical complexity

  • Nature of services provided (e.g., evaluation, management, follow-up)

Fees reflect the professional medical services rendered during the visit.

Laboratory tests, imaging, medications, procedures, medical devices, and third-party services are billed separately when applicable.

Care Coordination & Referrals

When clinically appropriate, Torii Health may assist patients in coordinating care with external facilities or specialists (for example, imaging centers, endoscopy clinics, or hospitals).

These external services are:

  • Performed by independent providers

  • Billed separately by those providers

  • Subject to the policies of the patient’s insurance plan or self-pay arrangements

Coordination assistance does not replace or alter the billing practices of third-party providers.

Patient Financial Responsibility

Patients are responsible for:

  • Services not covered by insurance

  • Services applied to deductibles or coinsurance

  • Non-covered or denied charges

  • Self-pay services

Questions about coverage should be directed to the patient’s insurance carrier.

Corrections, Adjustments, & Refunds

If you believe there is an error on your invoice or insurance submission, please contact us promptly.

Corrections or adjustments will be made when appropriate. Refunds, if applicable, are processed to the original form of payment.
